  • The School for Creative and Performing Arts of Cincinnati is the first K-12 performing arts school in the United States.
  • With the location of the school in downtown Cincinnati, space and area for construction was a challenge. The project required nearly 40,000 cubic yards of excavation and numerous underground utility tie-ins to the City of Cincinnati infrastructure.
  • The structure consists of a large below grade concrete basement with four levels of structural steel above.
  • The interior space includes a 750 seat auditorium, full service kitchen, administrative offices, various dance, art, choir, and piano studios, and a full gymnasium.
  • The school houses the most technologically advanced theater and recording spaces in the entire region and includes sophisticated theatrical lighting.
